Working hard on the laptops!

6th Class News

Dia daoibh.  Fáilte go Rang a Sé.  Conas atá sibh? Táimid go léir go hiontach.

Welcome to our classroom.  It has been a busy year so far.  We have already completed swimming lessons in UL, which we really enjoyed.  As we are an Active School, after school, we also have Uni-Hoc and Camogie training.  During break times, we are playing yard leagues in TableTennis, Soccer and Netball. Once a week, we also learn to dance the“Cha Cha Slide” and take part in Bizzy Break.

In Gaeilge, we have been learning all about Mé Féin, while in Maths we are examining fractions.  We love using our mini whiteboards and playing loop games in English and Maths.  We recentlytook out our iPods and iPads to do a Maths Orienteering Trail during Maths Week. It was great fun running around the village in groups!

In English, we have been practicing Procedural Writing and love getting the chance to do some Free Writing daily.  Art has been jam packed with weaving, printing and using pastels.    We are really lucky to have brand new laptops which we use every day. We are using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Publisher and many other programs!
