4th Class News
Hi from all in 4th Class. This year has been so busy so far. We have been working hard on all our school work especially Maths and Irish but luckily we are enjoying doing lots of other things too. We have Polydrons in the class and when we have our work done we can make cars and all sorts of things with them. Lucky us!!
We have great fun doing our science experiments and recently we have learned friction, how to make things waterproof and how to make electricity.
We play lots of games especially on the playground and we are competing in leagues at the moment. It is so much fun. A few girls brought in some kites and we fly them at breaktimes. We played golf this term too. It is reallly fun because on your first go you get to hit the ball really hard but when you are near to the hole you have to tap the ball. We are also still doing Badminton after school with Elaine. She teaches us about our grip and our swing.
Every week, we go to the computer room to study for our IC3 certificate but we do other things on the computers too like Geography, English and Maths. We are reading our new novel at the moment which is Under the Hawthorn Tree by Martia Conlon-McKenna. It is a sad story but at the same time it is interesting. We wrote Haikus about the story and typed them out on the computer which was really fun.
In Art we got to design our own Dreamcatchers which are hanging up in our room. They're gorgeous! Lastly, congratulations to Catherine in 4th class who came 1st in the Community Games
Art Competition for her brilliant drawing of a man playing Badminton.
Thanks for reading all our news!
